Would you love to run a business in one of the most scenic heritage sites in Sussex? We’re looking for an operator to take on the café at Michelham Priory – a historic gem nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside.
We’re inviting expressions of interest from experienced food and beverage operators within East Sussex to partner with us in managing the café at the historic Michelham Priory House and Gardens.
We welcome proposals from operators interested in taking on this exciting opportunity and encourage innovative ideas for additional catering services to enhance the visitor experience. The café operates from March to December, offering both hot and cold food and beverages, including alcoholic options.
Michelham Priory, with its rich history and beautiful surroundings, is a prime destination for visitors seeking a blend of culture and relaxation. We are looking to secure a partner in the cafe to contribute to enhancing the visitor experience by offering a high-quality café service that aligns with the Priory’s ethos.
We are looking for:
- Experienced operators with a track record in managing café environments, particularly within historical or cultural settings.
A commitment to championing local Sussex produce and suppliers
A thoughtfully curated menu offering freshly prepared meals, beverages, and visually appealing cakes and pastries that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs
A focus on sustainability and supporting the local community
Create a welcoming, relaxed, and enjoyable café environment that balances contemporary and traditional elements, complementing Michelham Priory’s serene and historical ambience
