A secluded medieval island complete with an Elizabethan barn, perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The barn has a spectacular vaulted, beamed ceiling filled with fairy lights, a bar and both a courtyard garden at the front and private walled garden, perfect for lawn games and watching the sun set over the moat. The extensive grounds on the estate include a kitchen, physic and medieval herb garden, orchard, formal and informal lawns and wilder areas rich in biodiversity. Michelham Priory has a wedding licence for civil ceremonies allowing couples to choose from a range of locations from the Priory Chamber, in the Tudor house itself, the Elizabethan Great Barn or even on the lawns for an alfresco affair. |
