Take part in a Historic Building Recording workshop with Changing Chalk
We’re delighted to be working with Changing Chalk to offer Members of Sussex Past six places on a Historic Building Recording workshop, taking place at Michelham Priory House & Gardens on Monday 21st October from 10am to 4pm.
Led by HB Archaeology & Conservation, participants will focus on recording the Elizabethan Great barn, followed by a whistle-stop tour of the much more complex house.
By the end of the day, participants will gain a clear understanding of the range and complexity involved in historic building recording. The workshop will explore the types of evidence archaeologists seek in different structures to uncover their age, evolution, and function, as well as the methods used to accurately document these findings.
If you’d like to take part in this free workshop, email Gary Webster at gary.webster@nationaltrust.org.uk as soon as possible to secure your space.
