| Pamela Kent is the Founder and Director of Pamela Kent Consulting, a strategic development consultancy that supports arts, cultural and heritage organisations to become more audience-led, insight-driven and connected to their communities. She is an accomplished marketing and audience development specialist, with nearly 20 years’ experience working with award-winning theatres, museums, galleries and cultural organisations across the UK.
Her professional background includes senior roles with organisations such as New Art Exchange, Nottingham Playhouse and Worthing Theatres and Museum, as well as consultancy work with a wide range of clients including Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival, Museum of Oxford, Outside In, Vincent Dance Theatre, 2Faced Dance Company, The Audience Agency and the Affordable Art Fair. Her work spans audience development, strategic communications, research, evaluation, fundraising, governance and organisational development. Pamela has particular expertise in helping organisations use data, audience insight and consultation to inform decision-making, strengthen engagement and widen access. She has worked closely with leadership teams and boards, contributed to capital and development projects, and supported organisations to align their public offer with long-term strategic goals. She holds an honours degree in Social and Cultural Studies from the University of Nottingham, including study at the University of Queensland in Anthropology and Cultural Studies. This academic background underpins her strong understanding of research methods, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and the social and cultural factors that shape how people engage with heritage and the arts. Pamela is passionate about making culture more accessible, relevant and inclusive, and brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to supporting organisations as they grow and evolve. She is delighted to be supporting The Sussex Archaeological Society as a Trustee and to contribute to its future as it continues to care for and share the rich heritage of Sussex. |
