Summer outdoor theatre at its finest, set against the dramatic backdrop of Lewes Castle. Moving Parts Theatre Company’s brand new adaptation of Jane Austen’s ‘Northanger Abbey

This summer, Moving Parts Theatre Company brings you Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey. A thrilling Gothic tale of dark deeds… or a playful, heartwarming Regency romance. Let’s find out, shall we?

Following the huge success of last summer’s Vanity Fair, this brand new adaptation of Austen’s most theatrical novel follows the fortunes of Catherine Morland, a wild devotee of “horrid” fiction. Growing up in a world of balls, bonnets and Bath society, Catherine dreams of discovering secrets, skeletons, and ancient mysteries. But does she have what it takes to become… a HEROINE?

This is an outdoor production, so please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic and drinks to enjoy, and dress for the weather! The show will go on, come rain or shine, so bring an umbrella if the weather isn’t in our favour!
