Much Ado About Nothing at Lewes Castle

This summer, we invite you to the shores of Sicily for the intrigue, wit and wisdom of Much Ado About Nothing – staged in the stunning grounds of Lewes Castle by Moving Parts Theatre Company.

It’s the 1960s, and change is in the air … on a sun-drenched island steeped in tradition, the old order is about to be shaken up by a new spirit of liberation, as our thoroughly modern heroine, Beatrice, determines not to be “overmastered”. With original music inspired by everything from Sicilian Tarantella to Italian 1960s pop, this is one of Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies.

From the company that brought you last year’s Macbeth, you’ll know to expect an exciting and inventive approach to telling this wonderful story. Enjoy a picnic and a glorious evening of high comedy, drama, inventive story-telling and toe-tapping tunes!

Reactions to Macbeth:

“Oh how much we loved your performance! Looking forward to whatever you perform next year already.”

“Magnificent performance last night in the beautiful evening sunshine! Well done to a terrific cast.”

“Just a brilliant performance of Macbeth, by a fantastic cast.”
