Christmas is coming to Anne of Cleves House…

For two days only, 20th & 21st December, the historic Anne of Cleves House will burst into life for a grand Yule-tide celebration, as we once again welcome Papal envoys all the way from Gubbio, Italy – Lord and Lady Gabrielli and their noble household.

Once a resting place for honoured guests of the Priory of St Pancras, the house will again return to its original role… now sprinkled with festive magic! Expect holly, ivy, evergreens, candlelight, garlands, and a hearty dash of medieval Christmas cheer.

Downstairs the kitchen will be bustling with house staff preparing lavish seasonal feasts, filling the rooms with warm aromas of spices, roasting meats, and Yule-time treats.

Upstairs the Gabrielli family will enjoy their elegant chambers, celebrating the season with all the pomp, comfort, and ceremony befitting noble visitors.

You’re invited!
Wander through the house, explore at your own pace, and discover the delightful contrasts between hardworking medieval servants and the festive rituals of aristocratic life. From Christmas customs and hospitality to clothing, cosmetics, medicine, and daily routines, there’s something enchanting around every corner of this immersive Yule adventure.
