Celebrating Our Incredible Volunteers at The Sussex Archaeological Society During Volunteers Week 2023!

As we celebrate Volunteers Week 2023, we extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible volunteers across the Society. Their expertise and unwavering dedication have made a significant impact on our organisation, members and the visitors we serve.

From tending to gardens, undertaking maintenance, conducting research, providing exceptional visitor experiences to delivering captivating house tours, each volunteer plays a vital role in preserving and engaging the public with Sussex’s heritage.

It is through their passion and commitment that we are able to create an enriching environment for visitors and ensure that the stories of Sussex’s past continue to be celebrated for generations to come.

Leanne O’Boyle, Executive Director, The Sussex Archaeological Society said: Our volunteers are a hugely important part of the Society – we couldn’t operate without this vital part of the team. Their skills, passion and commitment are crucial parts of what makes the Society so special.”
