Collections Discovery Centre Volunteer – Fishbourne Roman Palace & Gardens

Are you fascinated by archaeology, museum collections, and the behind-the-scenes work of conservation and research? Join our team as a Collections Discovery Centre Volunteer and help visitors explore the stories hidden within our reserve archaeological collections.

Volunteers are needed to guide visitors around our Collections Discovery Centre. The centre is a hub of research and conservation and you would be explaining how we look after our reserve archaeological collections, while highlighting some of our more recent research projects. If your interest is more in archaeological/museum processes and archaeological science than the Roman world, then you could be the perfect candidate.

Knowledge and experience in collections management and/or archaeological science would be an advantage, but by no means essential, as full training will be provided.
