Step into the past this festive season and discover how Christmas and midwinter traditions have been celebrated across the ages at Fishbourne Roman Palace. On Saturday 20th December, from 10am to 3pm, the Palace will come alive with reenactors bringing history to life in a unique journey through time.

From the Stone Age to the Iron Age Winter Solstice, through the Roman Saturnalia, and into the Saxon Yule, explore how different peoples marked the darkest days of winter. Wander further through the centuries to experience the spirit of a Medieval Christmas, a refined Georgian celebration, the warmth of a Victorian Christmas, and the resilience of a World War Two wartime Christmas.

This special event is included with general admission and promises a festive day out for the whole family, blending history, tradition, and the magic of the season.
