Maintenance Volunteer – Michelham Priory House & Gardens
We’re seeking volunteers with practical experience in property maintenance and one or more trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or exterior decorating. As a Maintenance Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in delivering our maintenance programme, carrying out remedial repairs, and ensuring the property is kept to a high standard.
Please note that some tasks may involve manual lifting, working at heights, confined spaces, or exposure to chemicals, so a willingness to undertake physically demanding work is important.
If you have hands-on skills, a good eye for detail, and enjoy working in a practical role that helps preserve a unique historic site, this role offers a rewarding way to contribute your expertise.
Benefits of becoming a volunteer
– Enjoy free admission to all Sussex Past heritage properties
– Receive 20% off purchases in our on-site gift shops
– Get your travel costs covered (within a 10-mile radius)
– Refreshments while on duty
– Take advantage of special volunteer-only perks and discounted events year-round
– Training provided (where required)
