Join the Friends of Anne of Cleves House for a fascinating talk by Chris Roach on ‘The Geology of Anne of Cleves House’

This prestigious historic house comprises a wide variety of building materials, mostly of local origin.  Chris will bring along samples of rocks such as Greensand, Wealden Sandstone, Sussex Marble and Caen stone to illustrate what was used – and why. Such materials can be seen both inside and outside the house and show some of the changes that have taken place over the years.

Chris Roach is Geology Tutor for Lewes U3A and a member of the Friends of Anne of Cleves’ House.
