Take a Step Back in Time at the East Sussex Living History Festival – 23rd to 25th August

Experience the East Sussex Living History Festival – a vibrant, immersive celebration of the past, where history comes to life through authentic encampments, live demonstrations, and family-friendly entertainment – all set within the stunning, moated grounds of historic Michelham Priory.

History Brought to Life

Wander through authentic living history encampments covering centuries of change – from the early medieval age through to the Tudor era. Chat with historical reenactors, see crafts in action, and experience the smells, sounds, and sights of everyday life from the 10th to 16th centuries.

Throughout the weekend, enjoy dramatic combat displays showcasing historic weapons and battlefield tactics – bringing the intensity and excitement of the past to life before your eyes.
