A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Lewes Castle – Outdoor Theatre

Join us for a magical summer evening in the enchanting surroundings of Lewes Castle’s Gun Garden, as Quantum Theatre presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Shakespeare’s timeless tale of love, mischief, and transformation.

Bring your own chair or blanket, pack a picnic, and settle in under the open sky for this delightful open-air production. As dusk falls, the ancient castle grounds will come alive with fairies, lovers, and mischievous spirits in a story where nothing is quite as it seems…

Set on a moonlit night in a bewitched Athenian forest, the play follows four young lovers who stumble into a feud between Oberon and Titania, the fairy king and queen. With mistaken identities, magical mischief, and theatrical folly, the boundaries between the mortal and magical worlds blur in this charming and whimsical performance.

Whether you’re a Shakespeare aficionado or new to the Bard, Quantum Theatre’s energetic and accessible production promises an evening full of laughter, wonder, and midsummer enchantment.
