Book Spring Talk: James Kenny ‘The Priory Park Project’
Join us for our first Spring Talk with James Kenny
The Priory Park Archaeology Project is a collaboration between Chichester District Council and Chichester and District Archaeology Society. Its purpose has been to enable the investigation of a key part of the Roman and medieval city and to engage the community in exploring and understanding their heritage. It has run for eight years, with excavations normally taking place over two weeks at the end of May. Discoveries have included those of a well-preserved Roman private bath-suite attached to a timber-framed townhouse, but this evening’s talk will present the results of the most recent investigation of the medieval remains that lie to the north of the Guildhall.
