Weddings at Anne of Cleves House
Hidden away in the quaint Southover quarter of Lewes, this medieval House offers peace and romance for up to 50 guests.
Granted to Anne of Cleves by Henry VIII, Anne of Cleves House has been providing a warm welcome to visitors for over six hundred years. Why not share your day with us and add your own page to the incredible story?
The wedding ceremony takes place in the East Room complete with beautiful beams, a large Medieval fire place, original furniture and a brick tile floor. After your ceremony you and your guests head into the Tudor Garden for drinks and photographs. The East Room and Tudor Garden also make the perfect romantic setting for a wedding breakfast and reception.
We will work with you every step of the way to ensure your wedding is planned to perfection. Anise Catering offers tempting wedding breakfasts and are happy to create bespoke menus.
Lewes is a popular town for weddings with wonderful cobbled streets and historic buildings. We are within walking distance of car parks, train and bus stations as well as hotels, easily accessible from the South East and London.
What our clients say: “We just wanted to say a huge thank you. We had such a wonderful day! You and your staff were all so lovely and helpful, and everything seemed to go very smoothly, and for being so quick to respond to emails and answer questions etc. We both found you incredibly helpful, friendly and professional throughout the whole process, so thank you!”
