Medieval Marlipins Roof Donation
Marlipins has stood in Shoreham for 1000 years, considered the oldest secular building in Sussex. As a museum in the care of Sussex Past, it tells the story of our landscape from pre-history to the present day with an unparalleled range of artefacts.
However, the medieval timbers and Horsham stone slab roof at Marlipins now need urgent restoration, in order to save the building, and protect the historic artefacts displayed here. The repairs are essential to keeping Marlipins open to the local community as a valuable learning resource.
As of May 2019, trusts and generous local donors have helped us raise an astonishing £35,000. However, more is needed. If you would like to help us, please consider making a donation – all contributions are gratefully received.
