You can now download a database for every article and short note title in Sussex Archaeological Collections from Volume 1 to Volume 143. The database has, inter alia, the following fields: author, title, volume number, year, page numbers. In order to open the database you will have to have Microsoft Access installed on your computer. The database is searchable by using the Filter, Sort and Find functions of Access, and has an option for printing out lists of article titles which interest you. If you are unfamiliar with Access there should be help files on your computer installed with the program. Please note that the file size of the database is some 1.5MB so if you do not have broadband expect to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the file to download. The file has been scanned by Norton Anti-Virus software and found to be virus-free.
If you do not have Access on your computer, we have made the files available in Excel. These files are smaller in size, although the articles index is separate from authors index, and you will need to go into both to answer a query. Excel is fully searchable using its sort and find functions.
Please note that this database is copyright of the Sussex Archaeological Society. It is the work of Library volunteer Mike Snatt. For queries relating to the database email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01273-405738.
