Getting to The Priest House: The house is in the picturesque village of West Hoathly near East Grinstead, Crawley and Haywards Heath. It is just off the M23 and is on the 81 and 84 bus routes from East Grinstead and Three Bridges. Please click here for a map of the local area.
Parking: There is free on street parking and also a car park near the house.
Toilets: there are public toilets near the house.
Accessibility: all visitors are welcome, but due to the historic nature of the building there are changes of level and wheelchair access to the house is limited. Written guides to the upper parts of the house are available. There is ramped access to most of the garden. Much of our collection is open to tactile handling and assistance dogs are welcome.
Refreshments: you are welcome to picnic in the garden and refreshments are also available at The Cat Inn, 100 yards from The Priest House www.catinn.co.uk
Local area: the Priest House lies in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where there are many walks such as the High Weald trail. It is also near the Ashdown Forest and Wier Wood.
