Sadly, due to Government guidance on reopening this site, we will not be running our usual guided tours or our behind the scenes work.
Discover the unique story of the largest Roman home in Britain and explore Britain’s greatest collection of Roman mosaics, as they were laid 2,000 years ago.
During your visit, why not join one of our guided tours?
There are a number of half hour guided tours throughout the day. Some tours cover the mosaics and archaeological remains, while others focus on what happens behind the scenes. In fine weather we also offer tours of the garden. Tour times can vary, so do phone us on the day on 01243 785859 if you want to be sure of joining a guided tour as part of your visit.
During every visit, you can also see the Palace reconstructed to its former glory in our introductory film and follow in the footsteps of our Roman ancestors as you wander around Britain’s first garden, the lavish centrepiece of the Palace. There is also a chance to glimpse behind the scenes of the museum and see how conservators and curators care for the many treasures from the site.
