How to book a learning visit

We ask all groups to book before they visit.  Booking is easy – you can either contact us by email at or by phone on 01243 785859

When you book, please provide the following information;

  • 2 or 3 possible dates for your visit
  • an estimate of your arrival and departure times
  • your school address and phone number
  • the number of children and year group – please do note the current COVID-19 restrictions means a minimum of 30 children as we are only allowing one school on the site per day
  • the number of accompanying adults

It is also useful to know;

  • if there are any particular needs within your group
  • which workshop you would like
  • when your group would like to see the Introductory Film
  • if you would like the lunch room reserved (limited availability)
  • if you would like copies of our Snapshots,or Looking for Clues booklets or other trail sheets

With these details, we will make a provisional booking for 7 days to allow you to organise your transport.

Once you have confirmed your booking, either by phone or email, we will send out a Confirmation Booking Form along with a site map and some further information.  Please bring all these documents with you, along with your payment, on the day of your visit.

Book early for next year!
We are now able to take provisional bookings for up to a year in advance.  We recommend you contact us while your visit is still fresh in your mind so that we can pencil you in for the following year. This gives you the added benefit of being able to secure the dates and times that you want.
