£75.00

Thomas Paine screenprint by the contemporary British artist Stewy

The black and white print reveals the dramatic character of the historic British icon whose writings initiated the American War of Independence and the French Revolution. Thomas Paine, a former resident of Bull House in Lewes, remains a symbol of rebellion for human and workers’ rights.

Only 50 of these limited edition prints have been made. They were kindly donated to The Sussex Archaeological Society by Stewy after he installed a stencil on the side of The Flea Market in Lewes.
