This year Lewes Castle is delighted to announce that Chapterhouse Theatre Company will present the wild and tempestuous love story of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, set on the beautiful and mysterious Yorkshire moors in the stunning walled Gun Garden on Saturday 24th August. The garden gates will open at 6pm for picnics and the show will start at 7pm.
This tale of passion and revenge has thrilled readers and audiences alike for generations and now, in an adaptation by award-winning writer Laura Turner, is set to entrance audiences for an evening of theatre beneath the stars surrounded by the beautiful ruins of Lewes Castle. Can Catherine and Heathcliff’s love endure, or will the forces of nature tear them apart?
