SAS Members Guided Archaeological Walk, Findon Parish

Dr. David Dunkin will be leading a walk for members and their guests in the Saxon/Medieval origins of Findon Village, West Sussex.  The walk includes a brief visit to St Mary’s Parish Church, the prehistoric setting of the important group of Neolithic flint-mines at Church Hill and the Late Iron Age and Romano-British settlement and in particular the temple complex and its context in the wider landscape.

The walk will last approximately 2/2.5 hours and will finish in Findon village where a number of suitable pubs and eating places are available.  The price is £5 per person.
