Pevensey Castle kindly hosts another Members Event, 175 years on from the Society’s first meeting on 9 July 1846. The afternoon includes a tour of the Castle, a talk by Kathryn Bedford, Curator of Collections and Interiors (South East) at English Heritage and Emma O’Connor, the Society’s Museum Officer. This will be followed by tea and delicious homemade cakes from our Michelham Priory House & Garden’s kitchen. Members can then take the short walk to Pevensey Court House and enjoy a tour and talk with its Curator, Peter Harrison.

1.45pm – Meet at Pevensey Castle entrance.  How to get to Pevensey Castle

"Incredibly stunning place. You get a medieval feel and can imagine being there as a King. They have done well to keep it like this and would highly recommend"
