Firework Fairy and Tinkering Troll Trail
Running daily from 26th October to 3rd November
Explore the castle grounds on a magical self-led adventure! Search for all 8 hidden fairy and troll houses, and enjoy a sweet treat as a reward for completing the trail.
Before the Normans
Sunday 27th October, 10am to 4pm
Step into Anglo-Saxon life with the Haestingas reenactment group as they showcase ancient harvest traditions, weapons, armour, and clothing from over a thousand years ago.
Bonfire Night Arts and Crafts
Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November, 11am to 4pm
Get creative with Bonfire Night-themed crafts! Build your own 3D bonfire, design a firework rocket, craft a spinning catherine wheel, or make a royal crown to wear while exploring the castle. For those who prefer a more relaxed environment, we offer a Quiet Hour from 10am to 11am.
Live Combat, Arming of the Knight & Medieval Surgery
Saturday 2nd November, 11am to 4pm
The Sussex Medieval Society takes you back in time with live demonstrations of medieval warfare and surgery. Witness the arming of a knight, discover ancient battlefield techniques, and learn the gruesome reality of medieval medical practices.

Learn about the famous Lewes Bonfire Night celebrations. Uncover the history behind this unique event and the societies that continue to keep the tradition alive.
October Half Term Fun – Included in general admission
With something for everyone, make sure you don’t miss the chance to step back in time and celebrate the season at Lewes Castle. Perfect for family fun during October half term! As well as this, families can enjoy dressing up as a king or queen, sit down with colouring in sheets and play games in the Gun Garden.
All activities are included in general admission, with donations welcome.
Admission starts at £5.50 for children aged 5+, £9 for seniors and £10 for adults, with discounted family passes available. Essential carers and under 5’s go free. Plus, why not make a day of it and visit Anne of Cleves House too, with combined admission discounts available.
