Come and join us on Friday 16th August at Anne of Cleves House for an insightful workshop into nettles, weeds and useful plants lead by the fabulous Jo from The Woven Owl. Jo comes with a wealth of forest school and reconstructed archaeology experience and will give full instruction to the uses of nettles, weeds and every day plants found in the garden.
The workshop will include cooking demonstrations, a talk on the historical uses of plants in the home and the chance to make a nettle cordage and nettle paper craft project using locally sourced nettles and plants some from the garden at Anne of Cleves House.
The workshop is a full day from 10am till 4pm and is perfect for beginners. The course fee is £60 per person for the day. All materials and class equipment will be provided and numbers will be kept small to ensure maximum tuition.
Tea and coffee with biscuits will be provided on arrival and you are welcome to explore the house and garden at your leisure throughout the day included within the course fee. Our lovely café will also be open for you to treat yourself to a spot of lunch or afternoon cake if you would like.
