Some families may want a quiet time, without crowds, some assistance to climb the castle or help accessing the collections in the museum.
There will be a chance to listen to a story with special tactile objects to feel, to try spinning wool on a wheel and enjoy garden games. Tours can be audio-described.
The morning is also an opportunity to let us know what would be helpful to families in the future so that we can try to provide it. If you wish to phone in advance to discuss your needs please contact the education team on 01273 405734 or email@example.com
Regular admission prices apply, but all the activities are free. The castle will open to the public at 11 am, but you are welcome to stay on for the day.
We are part of the HLF-funded RNIB initative @SensingCulture.
