Frankenstein Outdoor Theatre at Lewes Castle

Sunday 8th July at Lewes Castle. Gates Open at 5.30pm. Show Starts at 6.30pm.

Sussex based SISATA present a freeform modern re-imagining of Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’ to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the novel’s publication.

Angel rising…

Slowly, painfully, out of the fusion of rabid light and impenetrable darkness, Angel emerges, alien and alienated, into the world. Dorset born SISATA present a radical re-imagining of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Set in a dystopian future, the human race is slowly becoming extinct. With a desperation to save humanity, Angel – a revolutionary procreation of pioneering female scientist Doctor Frankenstein, is created.

A new evolution that has been artificially accelerated – but in this take on the famous gothic tale ‘Frankie’ creates not the monster of convention, but a young woman whose very existence challenges everything.

Showing for one night only this production is not to be missed. Book you tickets now by visiting the shop at Lewes Castle Museum or call 01273 486290. Ticket prices £10.00 per adult, £8.00 per child, £8.00 per concession or £30.00 for a family ticket 2 adults and 2 children.
