Join us for a day of enchantment at Michelham Priory’s Magical Light: ‘Same Sky’ Lantern Workshop this October Half Term

Immerse yourself in a world of wonder and creativity as we invite children over the age of 8 and their families to embark on a magical journey of light and imagination.

Lantern and Light Globe Crafting Workshop: Let your artistic talents shine as you and your family create your very own ‘take-home’ lantern or light globe in workshop with award-winning community arts organisation, Same Sky. Crafted with love, these illuminated treasures will brighten up your evenings and fill your home with a warm, magical glow.

Wererabbit Trail: Venture into the lush gardens of Michelham Priory on an exciting wererabbit trail. Follow the clues and discover the secrets hidden within the Priory’s beautiful grounds.

Walk Through Light Sculptures:  Follow the path of light sculptures from the historic Gatehouse to the rustic barn and Priory itself. Witness the Priory’s timeless beauty in a whole new light.

About the event:

The event is led by award-winning community-led arts organisation, Same Sky. If you live in Sussex, no doubt you have heard about or seen the ‘Burning the Clocks’ parade which happens in Brighton each year and sees a fantastical procession through the town, bringing magic to the streets, with a stream of luminous lanterns.

The workshop takes place at the delightful Michelham Priory House & Gardens, near Hailsham, East Sussex.

Parents can stay during the workshop and create a lantern together with their child, or are welcome to have a wander around the medieval Priory and gardens or perhaps grab a bite to eat or drink in the on-site Bean Bike cafe.

Age suitability: 8+
Cost: £12pp (Includes general admission to the Michelham Priory House & Gardens)

This is a discounted ticket rate available to Sussex Past and Brighton Dome staff and volunteers only. Please do not share this link with anyone outside of your organisation.
