Come and join us on Friday 18th October at Anne of Cleves House for a beginners workshop in weaving lead by the fabulous Jo from The Woven Owl. Jo will give insightful instruction of simple historic weaving techniques including lucet weaving, cog weaving, peg loom weaving and simple loom weaving and you will create a unique woven art project to take away.
The workshop is a full day from 10am till 4pm and is perfect for beginners. The course fee is £60 per person for the day. All materials and class equipment will be provided and numbers will be kept small to ensure maximum tuition. There will also be the change to try your hand using a historic inkle loom.
Tea and coffee with biscuits will be provided on arrival and you are welcome to explore the house and garden at your leisure throughout the day included within the course fee. Our lovely café will also be open for you to treat yourself to a spot of lunch or afternoon cake if you would like.
To book your place please call 01273 474610 or for more information email Hannah at firstname.lastname@example.org. We cannot wait to welcome you on 18th October to learn this popular and traditional craft in a historical setting once owned by Anne of Cleves.
