HLF/IfA placement in Artefact Identification, Research and Recording based at Barbican House
Applications are invited for an Institute of Archaeologists/Heritage Lottery Funded placement in Artefact Identification, Research and Recording, hosted by the Sussex Archaeological Society in conjunction with the Portable Antiquities Scheme. The successful applicant will learn how to identify and record archaeological finds from all periods, with a focus on small finds and metal work. The primary focus will be on identifying and recording archaeological finds by members of the public. They will be expected to get involved with all aspects of the Portable Antiquities Schemes work including public outreach and dissemination. A secondary focus will be on researching and writing up a group of small finds to publication standards. Full details of the position can be obtained by clicking on the files to the right.
