Travel back in time and meet the past at beautiful Michelham Priory.
The friendly education team offer a wide range of customised activity days enabling children to discover the past using drama, hands on activities, challenges, costumes, tours, artefact handling and demonstrations in the forge and watermill.
We can accommodate up to 120 children at a time and visitors are given a warm welcome with indoor spaces for activities and eating lunch. In good weather, lunch can be taken to our picnic area next to our new playground, just across the moat.
Topics covered include the Celts, Medieval, Tudors, Fire – 1666!, Victorians, World War 2, Homes & Houses, Michelham Mystery Trails, Kitchens, Farming & Growing and Toys. Cross-curricular, creative and themed visits can be also arranged.
Please contact the Education Officer on 01323 844000 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss or book. Please click here for Site Information for Schools. Staff are welcome to book a free preliminary visit.
